Hello! My name is Joy Ewing. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping people reach their full potential in life. I'm a certified EFT therapist, EMDR therapist and a certified LENS Neurofeedback practitioner. I am also a EFT supervisor candidate and AAMFT supervisor in training. 

 

I provide clients with a safe place to unpack whatever is on their heart and to foster healing, growth, and change. I’m dedicated to developing a collaborative and authentic therapeutic relationship with my clients.

 

I use an integrative approach to therapy to help client’s journey through depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, life transitions, marriage, and family issues. As a Marriage and Family Therapist I love helping couples and families of all backgrounds discover their unique goals and help families to thrive as a team.

 

I’m passionate about working with individuals, families, couples, adolescents, veterans and military families.

My work includes an integrated approach using Emotionally Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method, Play Therapy, EMDR, Neurofeedback, Client Centered and Solution Focused Therapy.

Hello! My name is Malyka Paulo. I'm a licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families wanting to strengthen their relationships and improve their overall happiness and life satisfaction.

My areas of interest include relationships, interracial/intercultural couples, blended families, anxiety and stress management, racial trauma, and life transitions. I use a systemic lens to help my clients understand how larger social systems influence the symptoms that bring them to counseling.

 

My approach to therapy is integrative and includes The Gottman Method, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also explore attachment and how your family and childhood experiences impact how you communicate and show up in relationships.

I take pride in providing equitable services which respect each client's cultural beliefs, allowing them to feel comfortable to be their authentic selves when working with me. I strive to build authentic therapeutic relationships with clients that enable them to be vulnerable, express their underlying emotions and overcome any obstacles that are holding them back.

 

My systemic approach guides clients to process their entire story, including all factors of life that have led them to their current situation. I employ a range of techniques including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-focused therapy, play therapy, and I am client-centered.

Through my services, I can help couples and families understand each other better and apply empathy to their interactions. I can also help clients de-escalate conflict, reframe their problems and repair interrupted attachment bonds.
