Hello! My name is Valisha Moody. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate.
My goal is to help individuals, couples and families to live a more fulfilling and peaceful life. I work with clients of all ages, including children and adolescents who are looking to restore relationships, grow and achieve a prosperous life.
I take pride in providing equitable services which respect each client's cultural beliefs, allowing them to feel comfortable to be their authentic selves when working with me. I strive to build authentic therapeutic relationships with clients that enable them to be vulnerable, express their underlying emotions and overcome any obstacles that are holding them back.
My systemic approach guides clients to process their entire story, including all factors of life that have led them to their current situation. I employ a range of techniques including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-focused therapy, play therapy, and I am client-centered.
Through my services, I can help couples and families understand each other better and apply empathy to their interactions. I can also help clients de-escalate conflict, reframe their problems and repair interrupted attachment bonds.
I understand that we may have experienced the same situation in different ways, which is why I give clients a safe, non-judgmental environment to share their experiences. Everyone deserves to express their experiences in a safe space that will lead to the life they desire.
